Unfortunately we do not have the capabilities to ship our chai. We are under Montana Cottage Food Laws and we must conduct all sales face-to-face. We are happy to sell to you outside of market times. Please contact us at orders@gardencitychai.com
We are currently working on expanding to be able to ship nationwide. Our hope is that this will all be in place by late summer/early fall 2025. In the meantime please follow us on social media or add your name to our email list and we will be excited to let you know when we can send chai straight to your door.
If you are interested in having Garden City Chai at your festival, fair, or market please drop us an email at rue@gardencitychai.com and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
It is a melon that is the size of a lime and grows only in Northern Thailand and Southern China. Much like our Huckleberries, attempts to grow them elsewhere have not been successful. It is a fragile fruit and does not ship well so we have not had the pleasure of enjoying Monk Fruit until recently. They have been able to make it into sugar and ship the sugar to the US. It was approved by the FDA in 2010. It takes a bit for the infrastructure to catch up but now you can buy Monk Fruit Sugar at your local grocery store.
While Monk Fruit is relatively new to us in the US it has been around for centuries. It has been prevalent in Chinese medicine for 3000 years. According to Chinese Medicine it's main feature is helping to regulate and support digestion. It also doesn't mess with your glycemic index.

Right now we have our Original Recipe and our Dairy Free options. They contain the exact same spice profile. The only difference between them is the latte component. Original recipe contains cow's milk and non-dairy creamer. Dairy free contains coconut milk. We have also added Spicy versions of these to our collection.
We are also experimenting with flavor forward chai such as vanilla and cardamom. These are part of our future plans and we are always looking for what our community is asking for.
We are always on the look out for the perfect cup of chai for everyone. So we frequently have something in the works. Feel free to ask when you come visit us at the market, join our email list, DM us on social media, or send us an email info@gardencitychai.com to find out the latest information.
The short answer is no. Our chai has about half the caffeine as a cup of coffee but it still does have caffeine. We have received numerous requests for a decaffeinated chai. Research is ongoing for this as the major manufacturers of teas have stopped producing instant tea all together. Once we find a reliable/affordable source for decaffeinated instant black tea we will be able to offer all of our chai as decaf as well.
We do not have exact dates for any of our future products but follow us on social media or add your name to our email list to find out the latest updates. If you have any further questions on these please feel free to reach out at info@gardencitychai.com
